Principles of Safe Space
These Principles of Safe Space ("Principles") were last updated on February 28, 2021.
Sammal Human Tech (“Sammal Tech Institute Ltd”) operates under the Law of Universal Unity.
Everything is one. Everything is interconnected. When this law is followed, an individual does not have to fight or compete with anyone or anything, because then the individual attacks or competes with oneself. Under this law, we respect each other as ourselves, living in truth and honesty to ourselves and others.
We strive to raise the consciousness and vibration of the Earth and the Human collective.
We ask our brothers and sisters to respect this Universal Law and to approach us in love and honesty.
The purpose of Sammal Human Tech is to offer services and products for more empowered individual wellbeing. We need rules to keep our services safe for you, us, and our community. These Principles apply to all your activity on the Sammal Human Tech website, Sammal Human Tech events, Sammal Human Tech sessions, products delivered through our platforms and other related services (“Services”).

Foster and take care
Care about the people around you. Care about what is going on with others, what they do, how they feel, how your actions and words affect them. Also care about the premises and furniture. Take care of yourself, others, and facilities and belongings. Don’t assume but be open and listen.
No means no, stop if the other so asks. Don't force anyone to do anything. Always remember that something that is fun or funny to you can be unpleasant or distressing to another. Anticipate situations where someone might feel uncomfortable and try to prevent and avoid them.
Respect others
Respect the diversity of people. Respect their different views, experiences and backgrounds. Also respect other people’s choices, identities, own space and boundaries. Meet other people as they are. If you mess up, be genuinely sorry, apologize and learn your lessons. Our events do not tolerate any discrimination based on: age, gender, gender identity, political opinion, ethnic background, religion or belief, sexual orientation, disability or any other matter. In safe space, all harassment is strictly prohibited. Harassment is any activity or behavior that is subservient to another, creating a hostile and unpleasant atmosphere, or threatening a person or group of people.
Communicate and contribute to a positive atmosphere
Say ‘Hello’ to others. Be kind, polite and open. Tell others what you're doing. Listen, talk, ask. If you don’t know or are unsure, ask. If anyone asks, try to help. If something bothers you, say so. Communicate about positive things, but also about problems and ambiguities. Help create an open and conversational atmosphere and a confidential community.
Understand ‘set and setting’
Set (a shortened form of "mindset") refers to the mental state a person brings to the experience, like thoughts, desires, feelings, general mood, and any preconceived notions or expectations about what they are about to experience. The current physical state of the body is also an important part of one's "set"; if one feels sick, injured, or generally unhealthy these sensations may get amplified during the experience.
Setting refers to the physical and social environment that the experience takes place in. It is able to guide or influence the course of the experience on both conscious and subconscious levels. Since consciousness-altering excercises often enhance the emotions or mood one is currently feeling, stress, fear, or anxiety due to an unfamiliar, uncontrollable or otherwise disagreeable environment may result in an unpleasant or dangerous experience that may be inconsistent with the experiences one may have had in the past. Conversely, an environment that provides a sense of safety, familiarity, control, and comfort is more likely to result in a pleasant experience.
Understanding set and setting helps you to enable and co-facilitate a smooth, empowering experience to yourself and others involved.
Follow the instructions and take action if necessary
Behave matter-of-factly and demand it of others as well. Follow common rules of the game. Do not hesitate to intervene in inappropriate activities. Don't hesitate to act. Don’t hesitate to ask for help if you feel you need it in the slightest. Do not hesitate to contact the people in charge. Listen and follow the instructions given by the people in charge.
Confidentiality
All things shared in the event will remain in the event. Confidentiality is important so that everyone has the freedom to speak openly about anything they want.
